At a very young age ( 4 years, I guess), I really did like to take apart small mechanics. My grandfathers antique clock, my mothers alarm clock and even my fathers golden pocketwatch. The reactions were overwhelming!......Only the day after it was very hard to sit down.

But anyway, I kept my interest in small mechanics and after high school, I started studying for the profession of WATCHMAKER. Four years later,in 1980, I reached this goal.

From this very moment I started working as a watchmaker for a well known juwelershop in Rotterdam. Learned a lot and got a lot of experience!

soon I discovered that I liked best repairing mechanical watches. Now this appears to be a good decision.

Since 1982 I started my own watch and clock repair shop in Hellevoetsluis in the Netherlands. From here and until today I do my work with a great deal of pleasure. Through the years I got a lot of experience in repairing watches of top brands such as Rolex, breitling, Omega, Jeager le coultre, Audemars Piquet, Iwc and so on.

1997, Rebuild my house and created a showroom where I can receive clients in a proper way.

Also this year the first  internetsite is build by a friend. The name Clockwise was born !

2005, May.  A new phase,  a new internetsite is created. A new logo and fresh colours!

2007, September A boy's dream comes true. The opening of my own  "candystore" located in the caracteristique old village of Hellevoetsluis.
